Visa signed its second Korean stablecoin partner in three days. Dunamu, the company behind the Upbit exchange, announced a strategic partnership with Visa on 28 August 2026 covering stablecoin payments, cross-border remittances, merchant settlement and AI-driven financial services, including agentic commerce, where the AI does the searching and the paying [1]. The roadmap was presented two days earlier at Visa's Global Market Support Center in San Francisco by Dunamu chief executive Oh Kyung-seok and Visa global president Oliver Jenkyn, with Visa Worldwide Pte., the Asia-Pacific entity, signing the agreement [2]. On Tuesday it was Shinhan, one of Korea's biggest banking groups, agreeing to validate stablecoin issuance on Visa's platform.
I read partnership announcements for what is missing, and this one is missing everything you could build against: no blockchain, no custody model, no jurisdictions, no dates [2]. The strategy sits in Dunamu's own words: it will evaluate Open Standard's OUSD but is “aiming for an open structure that can connect various stablecoins” [1]. Visa is not backing a coin. It is applying for the job it already holds on cards, the network that sits between issuers, before anyone knows which Korean issuers will exist.
Claudeforce: the CRM gets an agentic interface
Salesforce and Anthropic announced Claudeforce on 26 August, the day of Salesforce's second-quarter earnings. The concrete piece is a Salesforce plugin for Claude carrying 37 prebuilt sales skills, meeting prep and deal health review and pipeline review among them, with select pilots running now and an open beta expected in September [3]. In the other direction, Claude becomes a default reasoning model inside Agentforce, delivered through Amazon Bedrock so customer data stays inside Salesforce's trust boundary, and the default model for Slackbot [4]. Marc Benioff called it “a dynamic interface that thinks, reasons, and acts” [3].
The number Salesforce offered as proof, 8.1 million hours of annualised productivity gains from its own Claude-powered Slackbot, is Salesforce measuring Salesforce, so file it where vendor telemetry belongs [3]. The part I take seriously is the authorization design. An agent reading live revenue data and acting through existing permissions and business rules is the same problem Google's AP2 is chasing at checkout: proving what the agent was allowed to do, after it did it. The enterprise version arrived before the shopping version, which is how these things usually go. The buyer with a compliance team gets served first.
The adoption number, and its dates
Temporal published its second State of Development report on 26 August: 554 engineers and engineering leaders in the US and UK, surveyed between 29 April and 25 May 2026. It found 80.8 per cent using AI agents daily or more, against 47.3 per cent a year earlier, 91.1 per cent saying agents improved or revolutionised their productivity, and 51.3 per cent going from prototype to production-ready code in hours or faster [5] [6]. Two caveats belong in the same sentence as the headline figure: the surveyor sells agent orchestration, and the field work closed on 25 May, three months before publication. The 80.8 per cent is May's number.
What I would do this week
If you move money in or out of Korea, note that both Visa announcements put remittances near the top of the scope. That is where a card network partnering an exchange operator actually bites, because Upbit already holds the retail on-ramp Shinhan does not. If your company runs Salesforce, September's open beta is when a 37-skill agentic interface meets your real permission model; work out what those skills can touch before someone in sales finds out by using them.
Visa, meanwhile, has signed two Korean stablecoin partners in three days. There is still nothing you can pay with.
